DFO lodges FIR against villagers of Kansar

BHADARWAH: Divisional  Forest Officer (9DFO)lodged FIR against Villagers of Kansar for illicitly cutting of hundreds of green poles/saplings of Deodar and kail on comportment 17/18 Neru in Bhadarwah. Talking to this Media Person DFO Bhadarwah Abhijeet Joshi said that Range officer on her detailed report informed me that Beat gard 17/18 Neru 0n her routine patrolling of area along FPF Staff found a large number of green poles/saplings of Deodar, illicitly cut in the said comportment.

He has further reported that the same forest damage may have been done by the inhabitants of village Kansar, Bhadarwah as the forest department has rejected the proposal for construction of Kansar road. Accordingly a damage case has been registered in Neru Range Vide Damage case no 12/2013-14 and the Block officer Duggi 2^nd , directed to conduct a thorough inquiry and submit detailed report. He further said that the offenders could not be traced out and has submitted that some mischievous persons of village Kansar ,Bhadarwah may have done this damage in revenge as the forest Department. 

‘Green Gold’ damage goes up in Chiralla Forest Range

CHIRALLA/ BHADERWAH:  The cutting of young and fully grown green trees goes on unabated in Forest Division Bhaderwah particularly in Forest Range Chiralla. JK Monitor managed to gather the photographs of the loss and damages to the ‘Green Gold’ in compartment number 17 and 18. 

Sources said that Forest Protection Force (FPF) men have seized some logs but it is not yet known whether the accused have been identified or not and what action would be taken against them.

Large-scale felling of trees by timber mafias in connivance with forest officials continues in Bhadarwah

BHADERWAH:  Illegal large-scale felling of trees in Bhadarwah tehsil of Jammu & Kashmir continues in connivance with forest officials.  Famous for its snow peaks and lush green forests Jammu and Kashmir gets most of it's revenue from forest wealth.

Located at a height of 6,500 feet, the Bhaderwah region of Doda is a picturesque valley, with thick coniferous forests on all sides but illegal deforestation by timber mafia is depleting the forest cover.  The illegal felling of green Deodar and pine trees despite Supreme Court ban is fast depriving Jammu and Kashmir of its precious forest wealth. Green trees worth millions have been illegally chopped off in compartments no. 18, 19 and from compartment no. 45 to 66 in the block Puneja, Dugga and Dandi in Neeru Range of Bhadarwah Forest Division.
